Today we offer you the famous Christmas Stollen.
We need:
Flour - 250 g
Plant based milk - 100 g
Coconut oil - 50 g + a bit to grease the ready cake
Sugar - 50 g
Instant yeast - 5 g
Nuts (we had hazelnuts and almonds) - 100 g
Raisins - 125 g
Ginger in sugar - 25 g
Cinnamon
Vanilla
Nutmeg
A pinch of salt
Rum aroma or strong flavored alcohol (rum, cognac, kirschwasser)
Powdered sugar for the serving
You can take any plant based milk.
We didn't have any strong alcohol in the house to soak the raisins and water the ready cake so we took the rum aroma instead. If you possess a bottle of rum, cognac, kirschwasser or any other flavored strong drink then better use it instead of the aroma.
The Stollen can be (or even should be) prepared in advance as it gets tastier with time.
Ginger in sugar is optional, if you don't like it or can't find it, use any other candied fruits of your choice.
