wrote this instead of sleeping

I guess my writing style went out

the window because I'm very tired

if the ocean were a person,

its hair would be navy blue

its attitude would be much the same

their cheeks with a rosy red hue

salty but free, and quiet is she

a bucketful of water and memory

she takes her time and binds her hair

her mother gives fish and friends to share

she sleeps upon the sandy shore

and in the sky the starlight pours

taking steps to bigger seas

I can't help but feel her inside of me
