Welcome to the UTAU Event Helper Applications!
We all know that everyone is excited to help with the event and us organizers are excited to have new to help make this event a success! However before you apply please pay very close attention to this post details as it’ll give you a guide on what we expect in your application.
This application is ONLY for the general helpers (translators, chat watchers, and verifiers). If you wish to help with the Game version of the event please go over here:

With that out of the way, let's begin! I will first discuss the guidelines for the applications
Guidelines
- Has worked in previous events. Please prepare your resume/screenshots of previous events you’ve helped. If you do not have a resume, please mention your role for those events and your activity.
- Are fluent english speakers
- Fairly active over the course of June to July 2024
- Native Speakers
- Able to handle different situations

Verifier
These people are in charge of ing the activities of the participants for the event. This is to ensure that all activities follow the correct format and rule requirements.
We are looking for a total of 15 verifiers
Verifier Questions
1. What is your preferred name?
2. Are you able to speak fluent english?
3. What is your timezone?
4. How would you rate your activity during your time as a verifier on a scale from 1-10?
5. Will there be any events that may hinder your verification process?
6. Have you been a verifier for previous events? If yes, please state which events you’ve handled (add proof if able).
7. Have you experienced using google sheets/Microsoft excel?
8. Whats your average range of verifications you can handle? How fast can you ?
9. Are you able to handle working with others?
10. How are you in handling situations with other in case they argue regarding their incorrect activity?
11. Why do you believe we should choose you to help with our event?

Translator
These people are in charge of translating the activity posts for the event, they may also help in the gamemaster event if needed. There are a total of 7 languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, German, Russian, Português, and French. The English posts will be done by me(Ruin).
We are looking for 1 translator for each of the 6 languages
Translator Questions
1. What is your preferred name?
2. What language will you translate for?
3. Are you able to speak fluent english?
4. What is your timezone?
5. How would you rate your activity during your time as a translator on a scale from 1-10?
6. Will there be any events that may hinder your translation process?
7. Have you experienced being a translator for previous events? If yes, please state which events you’ve translated for (add proof if able).
8. From a scale of 1-10 how efficient are you in translating?
9. Why should we choose you as one of our translators? How can we ensure that your translations are fluent and not translated through a website?

Chat Helper
These people are in charge of creating the language chats and keeping them in check.They ensure that the guidelines are still followed in these chats and will ensure that the are welcomed and are always having a good time. These will also report to s/event hosts in case there are who are violating the guidelines with proof needed.
We are looking for 2 people for each of the 6 languages
Chat Helper Questions
1. What is your preferred name?
2. What language will you handle/create a chat for?
3. Are you able to speak fluent english?
4. What is your timezone?
5. How would you rate your activity during your time as a chat helper on a scale from 1-10?
6. Will there be any events that may hinder your ability to monitor the chat?
7. Are you able to work with others?
8. On a scale of 1-10, How efficient are you able to de-escalate situations with chat ?
9. Situation: There are violating the guidelines in your language chat. What will you do to effectively communicate with the mod/host on what guideline they violated?
10. Situation: There is a member causing a scene and people are starting to get uncomfortable in the chat, how would you handle the situation?
11. Why should we choose you as one of our chat helpers? How can we ensure you won’t turn a blind eye to your chat if they violate the guidelines or make uncomfortable?

Application Format
You will post your application in BLOG form under a specific comment in the post, I will start accepting applications as early as May 7. Whoever I choose will be messaged privately by me, mentioning their acceptance to help with the event.

I have a question If I want to participate as a verifier or helper, is experience necessary? I am an event veteran and would like to help especially since I experienced your previous event :sparkles:
It is heavily encouraged that there is previous experience. We gave a chance to help the event despite if they had background experience or not, and as people that our verification process of our last event was very slow and we almost lost the set (no hate to the previous helpers ofc!) But we wish to improve that by gaining more experienced helpers who will be able to be active during the event process :)

Oh I see, I still have nothing to lose by trying even if it is to moderate chats, I know how hard the last event was I tried to help as I could that time within my segment,They looked quite exhausted so I shook their hands, it's not my first time helping in this way why I always end up like this when I apply to someone anyway, thank you for responding!

Could you elaborate on that? Also, these translators won’t do both game options, just the translations for the activities that will be posted.

Hello! We are mostly doing only one translator because it feels like a stretch to translate about 6 posts, especially since this time we will be given them a lot longer to translate the posts instead of a week up to the deadline. From what I have seen from prior events, there usually are 1-2 translators for everything, and typically that's for events with more activities. If s though have complaints about the translations being wrong, we do listen! Like last time, someone said the Spanish was wrong, so we took them off immediately. But if they have any further complaints, then my dms are always open for them, as prior I was not aware of anyone complaining about the translator position besides Spanish.
But unfortunately we cannot up the translators, especially as of now as we desperately need more non-english helpers for the game segment. So if they wish to do very minimal translations and just make sure a chat doesn't break the rules, then they can apply to be a gamemaster if they are unhappy with translating.
