I am back!

So hello lovely people,

   I have returned from my hiatus and I am

//almost// free. Two more exams left. Then it’s finally summer! The season I made this moodboard for, so let me pull it up for y’all.

Tada~!

   So as you can see, it is simple [and made by pic collage]

   Let’s break it down then, shall we?

   This is a small little poem in Chinese. I chose this because of the language it’s in and because of its message.

    First off, the language. I really want to learn Chinese mandarin and this summer, I will do my best to learn as much as I can. I shall nag my friends to teach me.

    The poem itself really touches me. Recently, I was reminded of how ethereal and fragile life can be, of how much we forget to cherish it and follow a path that we don’t necessarily feel strongly for. This little poem will remind me to really dedicate myself to making my dreams a reality. It reminds me to be stubborn and determined to get what I want.

    Also, I want to focus more on poetry and writing this summer, because I rediscovered my ion for them both through this year and have gotten so much positive from my friends and teacher. Thank you, dear English teacher, I will do my best to make you proud.

   This mosque is to remind me of a trip my mom and I are planning together. The reason why it’s on my moodboard is simple. Traveling is my ion. It really is at the heart of everything I do, at the heart of every decision I take. Thinking about it makes me incredibly happy , inspired and excited, which I can hopefully channel into motivation. I should plan for said trip as well, so that’s why this picture is there.

   This picture shows China in all its natural beauty. It is of a place called Ming-shi, according to the site I took it from. Once again, it is linked to how I want to learn the language, but also to the fact that my friend and I are thinking a bit more seriously about going there. The idea makes me so excited I could cry haha! We were planning on going this summer - unfortunately it did not work out [we are but poor students]. The picture will remind me of how much I want this trip and it will remind me that I have so much to look forward to. Also that I probably should plan and save for it during the summer.

   This one rather um... looks too poetic for what it represents? Haha

Basically, it’s just to show how I want to develop more manual skills. I’m hoping how learn to sew and try out new baking and cooking recipes. Of course, I’ll still draw alongside.

   About my new obsession with rugs... ¿¿¿?There is so much art that goes into making one and they just look so incredible?¿?? I just realized, from a video I was watching a week or two ago, that the world of rugs is so vast. It’s a whole domain. To know where it’s from, what that means in of material, weaving techniques, patterns, history, etc etc. Since I want to learn about all of that during summer, I put that beautiful picture there.

Lastly, there is this cute little quote. I included it in my moodboard because it’s related not only to the field I want to study in, and serves as a reminder of how much I love it, but also to the fact that I want to do the complete course on first aid with the Red Cross this summer.

    There are so many other things and people who inspire me, but I can’t fit them all in one post, hence why that’s it for now.
