Hey it’s me, your favorite member of staff <3, here with an updated guide to the Faction Roleplay! Now, to begin, the Faction Rp is one of the oldest and most active roleplays on this amino. The basic premise of the rp is the establishment of custom “factions”, nations that have popped up after the collapse of the Canon/Legends factions. The chat is set more than 200 years after the Battle of Yavin, so all factions and characters are entirely custom. However, this can often be an overwhelming thing to hop into, as you’ll be plunged into lore that you’re likely not familiar with. To help with this issue, I’ve compiled a guide for new .

Faction Creation

Due to the sandbox nature of the Faction Rp, can create a whole host of unique nations; from a ruler-worshipping theocratic light side monarchy, to a council of corporations working for the sole motive of profit, or even a brutal regime of pit droids who wish to annihilate organic-kind, the heart of the roleplay is customization and creativity. However, you’re going to need to make some wikis in order to in on the rp, so to make it easy, the wiki templates are put in a folder here. These templates aren’t required, and alternatives can be used, whether they’re other templates or even your own, as long as the necessary information is there. What you NEED wikis for are:

•Your Faction

•Your Navy

•Your Army

•Your Territory List

•Any Custom Ships, Vehicles, Planets, Weapons, Resources, and/or Technology

•Characters you wish to use in combat

These custom things are, of course, subject to limits so that they don’t get out of hand and ruin the fun of the rp. All factions* start with one or two planets each. From there, you will be able to expand by taking up to two planets per week. Taking planets expands your capacity for military units by giving you points. Points for navy and army are counted separately.

Army System

Naval System

After you have completed your faction, you need to wait for a Faction Operator to approve it before you can begin roleplaying with it. You can send it into the OOC chat or dm it to one of us, but please be patient, as we all have lives outside of Amino too.

Faction Operators include:

•Me

Tridente

Apollo

Colvin

Salrusa

*Minuscule Factions are excluded. Minuscule Factions are factions that don’t control a planet, but instead have holdings on planets, like a gang or a corporation. They operate on a different system, found in this post.

Roleplaying

The Faction Chat encomes both character-focused and large-scale roleplay, allowing to control their original characters or even command entire armies and fleets. Military forces follow similar rules to characters, so obviously no auto-hitting, metagaming, controlling other people’s stuff without permission, etc.

Standard faction expansion is limited to two planets per week.

Minuscule faction expansion is limited to six holdings per week.

Faction Sizes and War

1-3 Minor Power

4-9 Sectoral Power

10-19 Intermediate Power

20-39 Regional Power

40-59 Major Power

60-100 Great Power

100+ Superpower

•You can only attack a faction either larger than your faction or up to half its size.

•Both sides can call in allies up to the points their enemy is worth.

So Faction A has 13 planets and Faction B has 28 planets. Faction A can call in allies worth Faction B’s points, meaning that they can get worth 2,800 fleet points and 33,600 army points.

War Escalation

Allies brought into a war can increase its scale to a much larger form. If both sides call in an ally larger than themselves, the larger factions become war leader and all points are calculated off of them instead of the original belligerents.
