The Secret of this City

It was once a place a Fey Kingdom of Elves

(Which is why the City has such a peculiar name)

Centuries ago, humans waged war on the Citadel of the Elves.

Unfortunately leaving nothing but corpses and ruin.

The people built their city atop the remains of the last.

Aymere was known as the Final King of the Fey.

He was the Elvin King of Feyerlun he was a simple, calm, and peaceful king.

When the Citadel was invaded Aymere foolishly wished for peace. He and his family was captured he was killed and in his final cokd breaths he prayed for the safety if his kin and vengence on the world for taking them. He was buried under where the caslte stands. Becoming a Lich forming an eldritch bond with the Fey.

In the present, a cult has formed and is harvesting souls to feed Aymere.

If he is to obtains enough souls he will rise and exact his icy revenge.

His lichdom has allowed him access to 2 powerful 9th level spells:

Tempest tear: a massive ball of ice and blizzard smashes down on the area.

He uses it to freeze the city and trap its inhabitants

Fimbelwinter: Will Unleash a Storm so cold it will freeze the world in an eternal winter.

If the party fails this spell will doom all.

Surprisingly Aymere cannot use magic in his fight.

Instead he uses a powerful magic sword

the Eternal Ice Blade.
