If anything, the Gods are truly right to fear this man, regardless of him wielding the deadly blade.

⤷ Thor is a complex man these days, still having loads of feelings and regrets with events that have happened in his life. With so much loss to bare, he is in a crucial state of understanding just who he is and what she should be. He is grateful that he's had throughout the days from his allies, from his trusted friends. And he knows that he still has a responsibility to the people of New Asgard, to his people. Whatever was left of them, anyway. As such, he understands that he must do what it takes for their betterment. He is not the wise and powerful king that his father was, nor could he ever be. But that wasn't a bad thing. He must do things his own way, and having to care for Asgard now will allow him to complete his spiritual journey and who he must he in this galaxy. His people need him, and so do certain others.

⤷ Thor had grown to become a powerful warrior for Asgard and had done so through extensive training. However, over the years of fighting and learning of humility, he gained the wisdom as to change his tactics, as to become a wiser man like he knew he should be. Asgard has had a long history of violence and false preservation of peace. He needed a change, and now that he rules Asgard again, along with his new position, he must gain a new sense of morality as to ensure his place in the universe works for the better and do what he must to preserve the life with the other Gods.

⤷ Having to take his place as king after his father was not exactly what he had in mind, at least not after his metamorphosis on Earth. He carries new wantings, new source for change. However, he believes that such things hold him back as king. At least not until his newfound place in Omnipotence City. Right now, he is careful, and he must be. Though, he also feels the pressure of becoming such a new high ruler. Perhaps it isn't for him, but the universe needs a balance, a protector for all the realms. Perhaps he can do better this way.

⤷ As the new king of Omnipotence City, Thor has gained a new role in his life that does give quite the perks for him, being the ruler and all. However, he does not let all of this get to his head. He has a purpose here, a very meaningful one. Making many changes for the Gods to abide to, he has formed new laws and does what he needs to in order to help the Gods feel enforced and feel the need to follow such rules. He does feel mildly out of place at times since this was not where he imagined himself to be, but the universe needs something better than what these Gods have been applying. He can be that change as a respected God.

》⇢ back story
The universe had undergone a very unprecedented and impactful course in its history. Thanos had managed to wipe away half the population of the entire galaxy, having the heroes of this universe lose so unpredictably. It was so unexplainable as to how such a thing could happen, how many individuals out there had to suffer through the loss of their loved ones so suddenly. And now here they were, having to cope. Though, in a mere five years, those whom were lost were able to be brought back by the efforts of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. With their bravery and determination, they were able to snap as Thanos did and bring back the populations that were swept away from existence so unjustly. And amongst these heroes was Thor Odinson, the God of Thunder. He watched as his people were now safe again, back and able to make New Asgard on Earth their home, completing the cycle. There was quite the conflict in him, however. He had spent the past five years wondering what he is and what he is supposed to be, and he wasn't exactly in the best shape either. Depression can do such things to a man when he's lost so much, and he had let all that grief get to him. He couldn't blame himself for Thanos' success, not anymore, for it didn't matter. They finally won in the end, and with the world returning to its normal state, if that ever was a thing, he could continue his time as the king of Asgard. That is what he wanted, right? Perhaps it was. Perhaps it wasn't. But he knew that his people needed him, but not how he was now. Not in this unrecognizable state. He needed to work on himself in more ways than one. He knew the work of Asgard was not done, and that there were still those out there who wished to cause it harm. Henceforth, Thor would make the fateful decision as he looked over the hill with Valkyrie, looking at their home. The Odinson had decided to stay and continue being its king. He may not be the man his father wished him to be, or even the right person to rule at all, but he didn't want to fail his people again. He had a duty, and he needed to remain for its fulfillment.
In the next six to eight months, Thor would have attended to his kingly duties in his own way, to say the least. As expected of himself, he worked hard, trained. The Asgardian king had went through many levels of determination as to get his body back. His God bod. The time of grief was over, and the time for action had come once again. As king, he had to make the choices what would allow his people to thrive and let his civilization practically come back from the dead, and right now, New Asgard didn't look all that lively. Which is why he and Valkyrie had ed forces and intellects as to create new systems and and such for Asgard, such as expanding the building plains and help raise the army that they lost as there definitely wasn't much left after Thanos. As of now, Asgard would come to full circle as to expand itself and make itself known once again. As such, a few things were needed, such as a proper alliance with the governments of Earth and further establishing themselves as allies, while also allowing tourists. This was now a land of Asgardian/alien residence, after all. People would of course want a fill of Asgard on Earth, and they would now have that fill with exclusive attractions of New Asgard, such as real Asgardian Mead. That was a favorite of Thor's. The foundations were set for Asgardians to have a proper home on Earth, and it was all thanks to the combined efforts of its king and the faithful Valkyrie, Brunnhilde. However, there were still other matters to attend. As Asgard was establishing itself and making itself known once again, the enemies of Asgard were still about, and they did have some quarrels here that they wished to settle, especially with Odin out of the picture. It was crucial for these matters to be resolved. As such, Thor, along with Valkyrie and Korg, would set out as to as to face these fiends who claimed to be the end of their home and display why Asgardians are right to be feared by those who wished to threaten them. It was time for the Odinson to be the protector of Asgard once more. As such, the trio would travel to the many worlds in which their enemies would lie, Thor wishing to end things peacefully as a wise king should do. As expected, the enemies did not comply, allowing for the Asgardians to pursue the unwanted conflict.
Things had been going fairly swift, all things considered. As the remaining enemies of Asgard were being vanquished and their home would find peace, finally, celebrations would be in order. Lots and lots of Mead would be served at these newfound festivities in which Asgardians and Midgard visitors would have a taste of, celebrating like the old times. Asgard did become quite the party pub on its own, impressively, and it was a sight to behold. Naturally, Valkyrie and Korg would wander about with the people as to the festive environment with everyone else. Thor did, too. However, as he drank the flavorful liquid, things still felt a bit off. He was happy to have his home back, to see his people thriving again. And his friends to be there with him. However, he was still unsure. He had a strange feeling that something wasn't exactly right. He couldn't explain it, but he knew it was very real. Even watching and listening to the festive people around him under the night sky didn't fully put him to ease. That was when he belived some matters would be resolved over his unjust feelings. Later that night, after a mild conversation with Valkyrie, Asgard with receive a distress call from outer space, quite far to say the least. They round up as to determine just what this signal was, whom it could belong to. They couldn't find a collective answer, but they did know that based on these writings and symbols, it was Asgardian. Immediately, Thor and Valkyrie were thrown ajar with confusion and surprise. Who could this person be? They had to find out. If this person was Asgardian, they just may be their only hope. It was then when Thor decided that they needed to check this out Pronto. Not a single second of time was wasted as he, Valkyrie and Korg would assemble once again. Using Stormbreaker, the Thunderer had summoned the Bifrost as to leave the planet and head to the designated location from where the signal was sent from. It was quite a mystery here for them, and quite the dilemma. Thor couldn't help but think of the very concept of wanting to help his people, and so, he wasn't going to lie and wait. That is not what a king does.
The rainbow-coloroed transportation tube would transport the Asgardians all the way to a distant planet, one embedded with nothing but dark stone under the night and mild winds. As the trio landed there, they could already see that something was not right. That something was here. As they began to explore this questionable planetary surface, they would soon begin to see fallen men, armored soldiers. They were Asgardians. They were confused, looking at these downed men and only finding death. It was like it was prepared for them to see their people seem slaughtered and cast out of existence by gruesome deaths. It was chilling. The king of Asgard felt distraught, aching. Seeing his people like this. And where was he? It was like he failed them again. His mind wandered, but that was when Korg pointed out a familiar face. Lady Sif, armored and everything, was lying on the ground, blood along her torso, unconscious. They had ran up to her to see if she was still alive. Thor could only pray she was. However, they were soon ambushed by an atrocious creature. From the shadows, a tall beast, three times the size of the Hulk, had emerged and stomped down on the trio that came here. Just what was this creature? It wreaked of darkness and cold, very unappealing. They struggled a bit as it was quite strong. However, even if Korg and Valkyrie had some difficulties with it, Thor was another thing. The Thunderer instantly unleashed in this creature, allowing his axe to introduce itself and wage a devastating blow to the dark creature, striking it down and rendering it a problem no longer. With that out of the way, they turned their attention back to Lady Sif, arguably Asgard's greatest warrior before her disappearance. Must be a most amusing title for Valkyrie to have now. Now that they were able to check on the fair lady, their hopes became a reality. She was still alive, though did need medical attention. And so, the trio would head back to New Asgard, there needing to be some clarifications here with what had gone on on that planet.
By the time they had reached New Asgard, the festivities had died down and most of the citizens had returned to their homes as to rest after being such party animals. Immediately, Sif was taken to the medics as to begin treatment. There was something within Thor that made him feel unclear. It was like a blast from the past, Deja Vu. He was beginning to think back about when he and Sif were romantically involved, or at least were on the verge of doing so. Those were simpler times. And then came the memories of himself and the woman he deemed as his true love: Jane Foster. Those were quite the times, but things were so different now. He couldn't really be thinking about all this, though. It would take about an hour for Sif to finally awaken after the proper care, as well as mild use of Asgardian magic here. Lady Sif would open her eyes and find herself in unfamiliar territory. It wasn't until Thor had been there as to ease her mind and allow her to know that she was in a safe space. It was a relief for them both to see each other again, it truly was. One could tell just from the smiles. Regardless of the reunion, though, questions needed to be answered. Thor had asked her what she was doing back on that planet, and just where she had been all this time. Sif had revealed that not long after Thor left Asgard, Odin himself had banished her, having not known that it was Loki in disguise at the time. She, along with a few other rebellious soldiers, were cast out of Asgard and left to wander about the galaxy on their own, away from their home. It wasn't until recently when they had banded together again as to hunt down a being that had been rumored to be going after gods and killing them, somehow. They had been delayed by some of the monsters he faced on that planet. It all came as a surprise and quite something to take in for the king, more so that last part. Thor wanted more answers, if such rumors were indeed fact. However, just as Sif were able to reveal more, the answers would surely come by at Asgard's front door.
Asgard was now in a state of sleep since it was quite late. It was a dark sky, and the only illumination the place had at this point in time was the mild lighting from the homes, and the light posts outside, of course. All was quiet, but that was until the darkness had found its way into the homes of Asgardians. The shadows from the streets and begun to morph, almost as if to reshape themselves into things that were considered unnatural. They did so slowly, until eventually they would shape themselves along the way into what seemed like familiar entities. From all corners, the shadows had emerged and found themselves to have been transformed into hideous, hazardous creatures, aliens and monsters of your worst nightmares in which would come alive and walk on the very terraces. Without warning, they attacked, causing Asgard to awaken from such a disturbance. Screams from adult and child alike came about, the soldiers that had thankfully been brewed here for Asgard had come forth as to now face these demons. They began to wreak havoc along the streets of Asgard and had for sure wanted their presence to be known, and alas, the likes of Thor and Valkyrie would the fight and help protect their home. Instantly, they had recognized that thes creatures were similar to the one they rescued Sif from. They wreaked of the unusual dark musk. And they just looked plain bad. The king and his best warrior would engage in heavy combat against these creatures, mauling about still with some questions in their heads.
However, a new presence was made clear here. Thor had felt it, and more so once he laid eyes on it. In the distance, a figure was entering the battlefield, slowly and assuring that he was a force to be reckoned with. He arrived with such a commanding presence, a man with dark grey skin, haunting yellow eyes and a pure white cloak. Not to mention questionable dental care and freakishly long nails. It sent a chill down the spine of the Thunderer. What made things worse was that this figure was carrying a weapon, a dark weapon. Thor could recognize it immediately. It was the Necrosword, an infamous weapon. Instantly, Thor had questions. However, this wielder had instantly disappeared into the shadows, and as if he was a ghoul, he suddenly appeared by Thor, attacking. Naturally, Thor would defend himself, allowing Stormbreaker and the Necrosword to clash against one another and begin this godly battle. The men battled on the street, Thor doing his best as to keep himself and the invader away from others to avoid casualties. Both had proven to be capable warriors, though perhaps the God of Thunder seemed to be a better fit for being a warrior. There was much ferocity from the swings that the menace made towards Thor, applying his very real anger and very real deadly nature. It was to the point where he managed to overpower Thor by summoning the arms and tendrils from the shadows and allowing the monsters to almost allow a killing blow from the Necrosword. That was until the Valkyrie herself had come along with heroic self and struck a blow to the back the invader, giving the opportunity for Thor to break free and give one of his own strikes. It was here when Thor and Valkyrie would be able to get the upper hand over the wielder of the Necrosword, and he saw it, too. However, before they could do anything else, the invader disappeared into the shadows the moment Thor shot lightning at him. As such, the creatures had all disappeared, too. Something was off to them, and their suspicions would come about. Unbeknownst to them, the shadows had managed to snatch the children from the Asgardian homes, taking them away and making it seem as if they had just been dust in the wind. The parents and the soldiers alike had begun to cry out, and as such, so did the children. In the distance stood a hill, perfectly aligned as to have the light of the moon shine down on it. There, a large cage was present in which was holding the Asgardian children. It was very clear from their vocals that the children were afraid, and Thor could hear it. Not wasting another second of time, the God of Thunder had flown to the sky, rocketing towards them as to save the next generation of Asgardians. Time was of the essence. However, it seemed that he was not quick enough, and cage filled with frightened children disappeared into the shadows.
Things weren't looking too good for New Asgard right now. Thor had taken it upon himself to fly across the globe, desperately in search of the children that were unjustly taken away by the invader. Though, to no luck. By the time the clean-up crew on Asgard began to do their job and attempt to repair such things, Thor had returned with sad news. The people of Asgard held a meeting, demanding answers and that the children be brought back. Valkyrie did her best to ease their minds, but to no good. It wasn't until Thor came into the picture and assured that everything would be fine. That the children would be okay and safely returned, it was his word. But perhaps it one shouldn't promise something that they can't keep. With all this in mind, there were still answers required for the Thunderer. He returned to Sif, asking just what was the real deal here. Sif had responded by stating that this invader was Gorr the God Butcher, a newly awakened fiend that had been traveling the cosmos, slaying Gods all around as if it was nothing but a game to him. That he was a real threat to both them and other Gods. They would surely need to address this, and while Thor could not truly comprehend what this could mean for them all, it was a good thing to know that his friends were here, and they were going to get the children back. Little argument needed. With that, Thor, Valkyrie and Korg would unite once more as to set out to track the butcher by tracing Sif's footsteps and coordinate just where the butcher would strike again. For all they knew, the children could be badly hurt, so they needed to hurry.
Their trek across the stars would bring them to quote the unexpected location: Jotunheim, home of the Frost Giants. This was quite the trip down memory lane for Thor, but that hardly mattered with the present conflict at hand. It took no time for them to hear the screams of terror from their "peaceful" allies, hearing them cry out as if there was some danger about, and they'd be right. As they traveled towards it, they would see the village of giants being pinned by the same shadow monsters that they had faced. This was Gorr's doing. Instantly, the Asgardians had rushed down, and using what seemed like very stylish force, they began to mow through the shadows with very justifiable frustration. Even Korg seemed to be getting a good piece of the action. That being said, the Asgardians allowed the Shadow monsters to tremble and help the Frost Giants fight them off, serving the peace treaty in which they made with this race. With the final blows of lightning, Thor had vanquished these beasts and allow them to fail their master. Now that the danger was over, Thor met with the chief of this establishment on the frozen surface and abide with what had just happened. The giant in charge explained the ambush, and the very fact that their young had also been taken away by surprise in the hands of these shadow creatures. They were too late. The Butcher had gotten them and they were unable to help in time. Thor and the others could only feel sorrow and regret over not being fast enough. Their talk had finished, and to his surprise, there was a small mention of his Deceased brother, Loki, which did throw Thor off a bit. This comment came from an unnamed Frost Giant, though with the memories that came, Thor did nothing about it. It came as yet another reminder of his past, and an uncertainty of his future over what he is doing now and what he should be. It was just a very confusing time right now. But he needed to focus.
This dilemma had now become more troubling. With what the chief spoke of, it seemed that this God Butcher would be far stronger than they realized. And according to the stories about the Necrosword, they were severely outgunned. They needed a new plan and would need to put their minds together. It was here where Thor had gotten an idea, whether it was a good or bad one would be up to who you ask. Omnipotence City, the home of all the Gods in the universe. It was a home of power and strength, a home where Hephaestus, Athena, even Zeus himself dwelled. It was a place of legends, and legends may just be what they need right now. Korg did argue about maybe bringing along the Avengers for help, but Thor knew better. They'd stand no chance against something as twisted and as powerful as Gorr. So this would be the plan.
They would now be on the way to Omnipotence City using the Bifrost from Stormbreaker, and my, what a worthy trip. The hidden city was within the ends of the cosmos, a beautiful place that held such magnificent stature and gold absolutely everywhere. Midas would love it. The King of Asgard, along with his trusty allies, would now land on the grounds of the city, bestowed by its beauty and beautiful figures here that ed by them. Many were eyeing them, some for very different and explicit reasons. But that was not the point of this trip. They needed to find Zeus and speak to him about their dilemma, but just as they had undergone the march, they'd be stopped by a legendary figure one would think would be more reasonable. Hercules had come forth, bestowing his presence upon the uninvited guests and snatch them up using the city's scurity guards, instantly overpowering the Asgardians and taken them into custody. Hercules could only smile with the gift he'd now present to his father.
With the Gods of the universe gathered upon one big stage, they would all be seated comfortably and attend to the words of Zeus like any other time. There were a plethora of Gods, many so vastly known and superior to others. Bast, the Black Panther Goddess. Nanny of the Nonny, God of the Kronans. Athena, Goddess of Wisdom. And even a God on his own little pillow mantle with nothing but a balled body, two feet and a face with Kiss band hair. Very disturbing to look at. Like any other time, the "mighty" Zeus would present himself in a grand fashion, undergoing one of his many entrances in which he was famous four. It was spectacular, honestly, if you were to see it. The king of the Gods would smile upon the others and bestow his words upon them. One would expect they would be of magnificence and wisdom. And yet, something you'd hear from a Florida resident. Zeus came upon as to announce very inappropriate events that would be for the Gods here in the city, and after the small announcements, they would get to a newfound presentation. Having known of Hercules' catch of the day, the Asgardian prisoners would be taken out and presented to all the Gods here on the stage, chained by what seemed like lightning made from Zeus himself. And this was a surprise for everyone. The Gods here had believed Asgardians were no longer around after the death of Odin. It shocked Zeus the most. Despite being cuffed and wishing to break free, Thor couldn't help but ire Zeus a little, him being a fan and all. He did idolize the king of the Gods for obvious reasons. But now wasn't the time to be a fan girl. Thor would begin to present his case to Zeus and the others, about the danger that had come to the universe. Gorr the God Butcher had a reivwd wielding the Necrosword, and that he had taken Asgardian and Jotunheim children for his own sinister purpose. Thor had pleaded for the Gods to do something, for them to go after Gorr and stop him from hurting this children. But then came something the Asgardian king would have never expected.
Zeus, the king of the Gods, had begun to laugh, as did the others. Thor, Korg and Valkyrie would look about to see these legends laugh at their dilemma. Zeus couldn't really contain his laughter as if it was a practical joke. Thor was confused. He stated that this was no joke, that it was real and that they were in trouble. But Zeus was just too full of himself. Asgardian problems are Asgardian problems, he stated. The Gods Gorr had killed and the children he took were all low-level, meaning not even worth looking into. How could they say such things. Zeus had stated that Gorr would never reach eternity, and that's when it hit them. If Gorr were to reach Eternity at the center of the universe, he would be able to wish all Gods away. That would mean trouble, especially when Gorr would need the souls of a plethora of children. This was worse than they thought. How could they laugh at this? Zeus and the Gods were no legends, they weren't heroes. They were greedy, as he was long ago. How the mighty have fallen. This was infuriating. They come to the Gods for help, and they do nothing. This was starting to sound familiar, especially to a certain unwelcomed guest.
As Zeus had ordered the Asgardians to be taken away for interrupting their meeting for something so hilarious, the shadows had finally caught up to Omnipotence City and prove to Zeus just what lied ahead for him. Just then, the shadows had appeared from the corners of the stage and the auditorium alike, some of the Gods noticing these and watching them expand a little. Even Zeus saw them. The Asgardians recognized them, having Thor and Valkyrie instantly shout out about the danger that was now here. However, just as they could say anything else, Hermes had stormed through the main entrance, shouting out at Zeus over an important message, though before Zeus could hear it, Hermes was instantly impaled from behind, golden blood gushing out leaving the messenger God to fall from such a brutal stab. He fell, and behind him stood Gorr himself, smirking as his yellow eyes stared upon the many Gods here rounded up just for him. How delightful. Thor shouted with the warnings, though Gorr would get the better of them as his shadow monsters instantly sprung out from the self-made shadows here in the auditorium and begin to swarm about the Gods of Omnipotence City, attacking. The end had come. What Zeus feared had finally come. And one could see it in his eyes that he was scared up on his platform. The shadow monsters had begun to attack the guards and such, as well as various Gods that would be unable to go against Gorr himself. It was a panic. Some of the higher Gods began to attack Gorr and attempt at stopping all this madness, but as one would expect, Gorr had easily struck them down with his mighty Necrosword, butchering them as his name goes. Gorr had come to spread fear to the Gods just for the fun of it. How quaint it was to see the Asgardians here, though.
With all this chaos brewing, Thor had had enough. Using his lighting, he struggled, but broke free of the binds and made a shout. He soon freed Valkyrie and Korg as to the fight, and using his hand, he summoned Stormbreaker. It was now time for the Asgardians to get in there and lay some hate. As this all happened, Hercules had decided decided make his father proud and take on Gorr himself. He was a strong God, and a great fighter. Of course he'd want a piece of the action. Hercules would leap down and begin to attack Gorr, getting the upper hand at first. The two would brawl, having Hercules use his trusty mace and clash with the butcher as to defend his home and get his father's attention. He did land quite a few blows. However, Gorr would begin to unleash on this child and strike back, leaving him down hurt. It was here when Gorr was on the verge of driving his sword through the heart of the God. However, blue lightning struck at Gorr and blew him back out of the auditorium. Thor had come along for round two. With a battle cry, the Asgardian king stormed out and would have this inevitable brawl to begin, allowing Thor and Gorr to clash within the city streets. It was here when we found the entirety of Omnipotence City was infested with the shadow creatures made by Gorr, forcing every being in this city to fight for their lives. It was becoming a massacre as there were many Gods who were unfortunate here today. Now that they knew the danger, the Asgardians were striking hard. Korg was showing some of that Kronan fighting spirit alongside his Kronan God, which was a dream come true for him. Valkyrie had the opportunity to fight the monsters with such grace and enjoy it, even licking off blood from her blade, have at you. And with Thor, he was finished playing nice Thunderer. Thor had become a force to be reckoned with here. As their battle raged, they managed to cause quite the destruction to the city with the lightning. But beating Gorr was important right now. Stormbreaker and the Necrosword became such rivals at this point, wishing to exchange blows and tear the other in half through a clean slice. However, Gorr managed to get the upper hand, soon striking Thor back all the way into the auditorium with the various dead Gods and shadow monsters. Gorr walked in casually with quite a smug look, staring at the hurt Asgardian king. Now, Korg and Valkyrie would the fight. The two double teamed, surrounding Gorr with various attacks and wishing to throw him off balance. They almost had him. However, Gorr was hardly impressed. He had simply kicked Valkyrie hard in the stomach and shot her back. As for Korg, he was met with the Necrosword slicing down his body head to toe, cutting him perfectly in half vertically. The Kronan fell dead. Seeing this, Thor called out to Korg and grew into a rage. The Thunderer had grabbed his axe and bestowed Gorr with the biggest lightning strike he could possibly create. But it wasn't enough. Gorr had simply blocked it with his sword and threw it back, practically smacking away the God of Thunder.
All seemed bad before Zeus had finally decided to stop cowering and start doing something. Using his Thunderbolt, the king of the Gods had managed to strike Gorr hard from his platform, laughing. He would not he brought down today, speaking valiant words and vocally displaying his superiority, as you'd expect. However, as he shot more of his folden lightning, Gorr disappeared into the shadows, leaving Zeus confused and worried. He looked around, desperately trying to find him, only to hear a sinister whisper coming from behind that sent chills down his spine, and before he even knew it, the Necrosword had cut clean right through the neck of the God king, beheading him, letting the head of the greedy God to fall on the stage. Gorr had come back down to that stage as to look at the head for himself, smiling. He felt such relief and pleasure from seeing Zeus' head separated from his shoulders. He had done what no one else could. How marvelous, and exciting. Those teeth were really showing. However, Thor would see this and had climbed back up to his feet, there still being a lot of fight left in him. Gorr would turn around as to see this. Again? He still wishes to fight? That is some determination. The God Butcher couldn't help but verbally exclaim the iration over the Thunderer's inability to quit. That's rare for Gods these days. Thor had come about as to swing his axe, blood along his lips. He was weakened, but he must still fight. He showed his anger with his weak swings, and Gorr could only laugh a little. It was there when Gorr emphasized the Gods would lose by slicing Thor along the stomach as he ed by, leaving Thor to fall to his knees. He was scared, and he was dying. But Gorr would get to that. Thor wanted to know just why. Why would Gorr do such terrible things? What did the Gods do to him. And that's where it hit him. Gorr had lost his daughter. He begged for the Gods to help his people, to save his daughter. And they did nothing. Gods are greedy, self-absorbed, and they deserve to die. Each and every one of them for their crimes against those who worship them and don't care for their people. It was time for a change. One last exchange of words, and Gorr would do the deed by driving the Necrosword right through the spine and to the sternum of the Asgardian king, letting him see the light a final time before falling to the floor, his red blood spilling under him. The Odinson was dead. Valkyrie came about as to see this in disbelief. Her eyes were beginning to water. Gorr had given his last warning to the Gods, to enjoy their lives while they could. They could not stop him, not anymore. Their end was coming, and like that, he disappeared into the shadows. As Gods began to march into see what has happened, they could only see that Zeus was now dead. But more importantly, the fact that the last remaining Valkyrie in the universe knelt by the body of Thor, attending to him, seeing that he was indeed dead. Loss and grief had started here once again.
Omnipotence City was almost in ruins. Much destruction was here and many dead Gods here to clean up. But what shocked them all the most was the dead Zeus, the king of the Gods no longer here to guide them and protect them. They were vulnerable. Hercules was distraught, angry. His father was dead, but he was also confused. What is he to do now? Go after Gorr, that's what. But he was still too strong. He was a warrior, and he wished to do what was necessary, but clearance from others many not be in the cards right now. Korg was also dead, his rocks scattered across the stage. And as for Thor, his body was laying on its back with a blanket over it. Valkyrie could only sit there, mourning, depressed. Someone she called a friend, her kind, someone she learned to love had now been taken away. She was along again. She was in such shock, it was unmistakable, and one particular individual could see it. Aphrodite, the Goddess of love and beauty, had approached her, kneeling by her as to speak and help comfort her. She knew Brunnhilde's pain, her loss. She could see it. Valkyrie had lost yet again, this time feeling like in an endless pit of misery and hopelessness. Like when she lost her sisters and her former love. Aphrodite had her share of loss, though. It couldn't stop her, not when she had a duty to the universe to bestow love. And now Val, a warrior of Asgard, one with an incomplete mission. This talk was more than just for comfort. It was for truth. They could not he done, not like this. Not while their loved ones dies in vain. Zeus may have been one of the greediest, but he still had purpose. And now Val must, too. Brunnhilde had come to realize that she must do what is necessary, to kill that monster and get those innocent children back, if they weren't dead already. Valkyrie had taken a stand, both literally and figuratively, as to get things going. She immediately commanded the attention of the Gods here and speak with them about the current matter. They were all in danger, and children were at stake. As such, they had much to avenge. Brunnhilde would assemble her own army of Gods, including Ninny of the Nonny and Hercules himself, alerting them that they were going after Gorr and saving the children. Everyone was getting battle-ready, as was her. Having been given a new set of armor by one of the Gods, she still needed to properly prepare. And so, she had climbed up as to acquire Zeus' thunderbolt, now being properly prepared for war. This would be a day unlike any other.
Cold, darkness, trembling feelings. That was all that could be present here in this newfound atmosphere. Thor was beginning to awaken as he was lying on his back on the dirt-filled grounds. He was visibly struggling as to get up after what he had just gone through. He moaned in pain a bit, attempting to rise into whatever situation he was in now. He slowly sat up, letting his eyes adjust and recollect his memories, then let his mind wander with wild thoughts over these new ones. All he could see around him was dirt and mist, a very mysterious and suspenseful environment unlike one he's ever seen. He stood up with a very witty and confused remark, he began to tale a few steps, feeling the chill of this place. There was something about it that seemed so off, so menacing, even. He wanted to know just where he was and what all this had to do with his ascension to Valhalla. But perhaps this wasn't Valhalla at all, otherwise the brochures would have spille straight up lies. He looked around, desperate for answers. And that was when the surprise came. From the mist came a figure, one that he instantly recognized. It was his father, Odin, standing there with pity in his one good eye. He asked why he had failed Asgard and its people, which only confused Thor, and then the All-Father disappeared. Thor was having trouble processing all this, feeling such conflict in himself yet again. And then came another. Soon, he saw Loki, his brother, speaking about just how they fell apart, and now having Thor say sorry to him about what happened, about Thanos. As he did when Heimdall had ed in. What was going on? He stared at these people that were dead, but aren't? It made no sense. And then came Frigga, his mother, and everything went downhill. Frigga asked why he didn't do his duty. Why he couldn't make her proud. It was here when Thor had lost it. He had gotten to the ground, bawling. It was his mother that got to him. His lost loved ones were now taking it upon themselves as to repeat Thor's failures, how his actions and miscare had led them to their demise. Maybe it wasn't all true. Maybe it was. But all he felt was the cold and dark embrace of sorrow yet again, like it never left. And then Thor would be presented with the real truth. Soon, the mist began to clear, making the realm he was in become visible. Above in the red skies, green figures floated and howled a bit in pain, like they were lost. They were souls. He could look up and see them, as well as pods holding a few that were hovering above. What was this place? He was confused and angry. And that's when the large staircase came about, displaying the figures and statues ahead as to signify this location. What made things more complex was the feminine voice that had come along, calling him brother. He knew what this was. This was Hel, and sitting up above on her throne with her mighty crown and such as none other than his sister, Hela.
Thor would look upon his older sister, wondering how this was possible. She died, right? But this was the Goddess of Death we were talking about here. She can't die just like that. It would be far too easy. Hela would make quite the remarks over her return, this being her domain and all, and now having Thor here for a proper family reunion. If this was real, he really was dead, and his sister now had his soul. As shocking as all this was, though, he couldn't accept this. He needed to head back and finish this. Of course, Hela would laugh at such claims. She just allowed Thor to be retold of his past failures to not only Asgard but to himself, the pain he caused due to his lack of fine judgment. All those loved ones came about as to remind him, and it only made Hela very much amused. Thor had listened and did indeed come to think about it. Thor was very much in a state of trying to find who he really is, what he should be. He was no king like his father, he was no real hero anymore, not after failing to kill Thanos the first time. He ed what his mother said. His real mother. She said that in order to be complete, one must attain an understanding of who they are, and ultimately succeed in it. That was his goal right now, not to mention be the good man he knew he must be for all peoples. He didn't just protect Asgard or Earth anymore. He protected the universe. He was an Avenger, that's what it meant. And he wasn't going to give that up. He did know who he is all along. Thor pleaded for Hela to let him out, to let him face Gorr again and save everyone. Surprisingly, Hela did think about it as she did want Thor here, wanting his soul. But perhaps there was some kind of soft spot for her brother, for her family. She could tell he was good. A good God. So, an arrangement was due. She would let him out, but if he were to die in battle, his soul would become hers, no exceptions. He would be trapped here for all eternity. Thor felt such eagerness and ambition, as well as fear. This could go wrong very, very quickly. Negotiations didn't exactly seem fair for the Thunderer. What could he do? What will he do?
Somewhere in the darkest corners of the universe, what appeared to be a large cavern, almost like the inside of a hollow temple, stood inside as the time had almost come for the God Butcher. He was here, and he was preparing. The space was vast, like an entire field of rock and darkness shifting by. The only light present being very mysterious illumination of white light from corners, and the very gate to eternity emitting a very small light along its edges. That meant it was opening, but slowly and reassuringly. Across the space, various of the shadow monsters walked about, roaming, like they were guardian. And some of them were even carrying cages filled with children from across the universe. This was the endgame, and he had almost completed this quest. By the end of the stairway was a platform, as well as a sacrificial stone. And beside it, a pile of dead, beheaded children. He had been busy. Many of the cages were empty, signifying that plenty of the children had been sacrificed, their souls contributing to opening the door to eternity. Blood everywhere. This was quite dark. The next cage was next to the sacrificial stone for one child at a time to be placed on it and beheaded by the butcher. Naturally, the children were frightened, many crying due to the unmistakable presence of death. Just innocence all around. The crying was loud, but Gorr didn't mind. He simply stated to the children that they were serving a higher purpose, to the destruction of the false Gods whom are nothing but bitter and give nothing to the deserving. They will die. As such, he would go as to open the door to the next cage and begin to pull out the next child to continue.
However, these horrid actions would come to a stop as guests had arrived. From the other end of this rocky field, figures had teleported in, making their presence known as they were a burger and colorful bunch. It was the army, the force to oppose Gorr. Valkyrie and her army had teleported in as to rescue the children and save the Gods, even if they might not deserve it. Valkyrie appeared quite heft, wearing her new battle armor straight from Omnipotence City, holding Zeus' Thunderbolt, and not to mention being on the back of her noble steed, a legendary Pegasus. She was battle ready, and so was Hercules, from the looks of it. He was ready to lay some hate in the name of his now dead father. Gorr would see them in the distance, knowing that this would indeed delay his plans and would need to pick up the pace. But that didn't mean there couldn't be a little slaughter firsthand. Seeing Valkyrie, she had made her stand with words and making it clear to the Gods that this ends here and now. The children are to be saved, and Gorr will be wiped out for what he had done. Including the death of her king. With that being said, Brunnhilde had made her battle cry, and as her steed took to the air, the Gods followed. The Gods began to charge with the Valkyrie and engage in a fateful battle for their lives. Gorr would watch as the Gods came forward, and thus he decided to call in some reinforcements. He had taken his Necrosword and thrusted the blade to the ground, and using the shadows all across the rocky fields, he summoned his legion of monsters and creatures, larger than he had ever made them out to be. This was the real deal. Instantly, the monsters had roared allowed, coming in all shapes and sizes, and soon charging as to fend off the Gods.
The battle had begun, Gods vs Monsters. It was truly a sight to behold. While there were monsters in the field, the Gods had managed to display their strength against these enemies like the various other enemies they had slayed over their lifetimes. Ares had sprung forward as to display his battle nature. He was a god that favored such war, after all. Soon, he and Athena had taken charge together, looking forward to such carnage against these monsters before eyeing Gorr in the distance who was slowly walking with murderous intentions in those devilish, yellow eyes. Ares and Athena had come to feel quite the hype as to get into real battle with the main man himself. In turn, both God's would charge towards Gorr, drawing their weapons and getting into combat with the God Butcher himself. Gorr would use the Necrosword as to block their attacks, weapons clashing and let the Gods of War get into real combat. Both Ares and Athena seemed to enjoy fighting together, Ares displaying how much better of a fighter he is than Gorr. However, Gorr was not in the mood for games today. This was his day. After blocking another attack, Gorr had spun as to then drive his sword up from under the jaw and to the top of his head, soon twisting the sword as to then split the skull of the God open, killing him. Athena screamed in horror before Gorr managed to strike quickly and push her back, maiming the Goddess. Gorr seemed to have the upper hand here. That was until Valkyrie had come about as to get her own piece of the action. She had gotten off her Pegasus and struck a few monsters with Thunderbolt, only to then stare down Gorr a few yards away. She looked quite phat with her new armor, and she was also infuriated. You could see it in her eyes. She was here for revenge, and Gorr knew it. The last person that she learned to love and be proud of having as a loved one was gone because of him, and he was going to pay. Gorr only found this amusing, and as Valkyrie pulled out her Dragonfang sword, she wasted no more time. Play time was over. Using both Thunderbolt and Dragonfang, she struck hard, and with fury. Now the Valkyrie would be able to display just why she was a feared warrior amongst her ranks and just how she had survived all those years. She seemed to be quite skilled with both weapons. Brunnhilde and Gorr moved about the battlefield, swinging hard at each other with their weapons, though it seemed that Thunderbolt was quite the boost here in Val's favor. She even managed to push back Gorr with all that ferocity. She was angry, and as she made another yell, the Valkyrie clashed with the Necrosword, both having the tension rising.
Back in Omnipotence City, clean up was underway. Much needed to be done as to get things in order, such as getting rid of bodies. Zeus' was very problematic and emotional for many there, surprisingly, yet this was the reality. Inside the armory, Stormbreaker had been hanged there as a bit of a trophy, almost. Memorial, even, for what had happened here. The God of Thunder dead, but his weapon remained here, never to be used again. There was a woman attempting to clean up some of the spills here from some blood that got through the halls while taking away the bodies. However, as things were quiet, it was odd that the woman was starting to hear something from within the armory. She had checked inside, curious, but also cautious. She walked inside, and a bit of a scare came to her as the axe was starting to wiggle a bit. Stormbreaker was starting to move slightly, and sparkles came from about. Something was happening, and something that no one could ignore.
The battle was strenuous and the Gods had seemed to be doing well against the monsters. But Gorr was a different story. Many had begun to attack him, some all at once as to get the upper hand and take him down once and for all. It almost seemed like they would succeed as they almost had him pinned down. However, he was a master of shadows. Using them, he disappeared, getting out of their ranger before appearing behind three, beheading them in one single stroke of his sword. It was quite impressive. Soon, both Hercules and Valkyrie would forces as to continue the fight and team up against Gorr. Both would be quite skilled against the God Butcher, showing tremendous determination to kill him. Valkyrie even managed to stab him in the back with Thunderbolt and cause pain to the fiend. However, that was hardly enough to stop him. Gorr used fuch ferocious yells and grunts as to then swipe away Hercules, slicing him along his chest as to keep him back. He'd soon turn to Valkyrie, able to bash her weapons off her hands and use the back of his hand as to smack her in the face. With her down, he'd approach her, seeming quite annoyed with this warrior, and he said so. Valkyrie was not one to say she wasn't annoyed, but now, it seemed like she would be able to head to Valhalla and perhaps see her sisters again. Was she ready for death. Gorr raised his Necrosword, now anxious to end this life.
However, the ground erupted, and a blue hue emerged from afar and a bit from the surface that certainly caught their attention. Rumbling came from afar, a stone wall that seemed like even the Hulk would have trouble with. However, it seemed like something big was coming through. Sparks came alive as thr stone wall would crumble, something huge pushing through and getting it out of the way. The cavalry had arrived, and it was welcoming, without question. Crashing through the wall, a large beast had appeared, seeming to be half as tall as the old Asgardian palace. It was huge, and it commanded the attention of everyone. Gorr, Valkyrie, the Gods, everyone would turn their heads to look at who had arrived. The beast emerged and released a powerful roar. It was Fenrir, the giant wolf, seeming to come from Hel itself as to in this crusade against Gorr. And as he emerged, lightning sprung from the skies and crashed down to the grounds. A lightning storm like never before. It was like it was alive, plunging into the scene and destroying nearby rocky hills and such. As Fenrir walked forth, he was not alone. A figure stood atop the giant wolf, the man being responsible for quite an epic and dramatic entrance. Thor, the God of Thunder, had returned, holding Stormbreaker above as he released a raging yell, a warrior's yell. There was some anger in it, too. He had returned straight from Hel, now wearing stylish battle armor that was inspired by his father, Odin. The king of Asgard was here, and he was about to turn the tides. With the king back, everyone could see. Gorr looked at this with both confusion and irritation. Him again? However, Valkyrie looked with a smile on her face, such relief. He was back. She immediately kicked away Gorr and stood, using Thunderbolt as to then blast Gorr away. With this new cavalry, Thor had rode Fenrir as the giant wolf thrashed about the surface, stomping, chomping, batting away the monsters below and assisting the Gods against the fiend that endangered them all. The wolf was quite the beast, showing what an animal and powerful creature from stories it truly was. It had even chomped down on a monster that was three stories tall, no problem.
With Fenrir assisting the Gods, Thor would soon fly off the wolf and down to the surface as to the fight. He flew about, swinging the axe and releasing waves of electricity as to tear away at the monsters. From the sky, he controlled the lightning above as to strike down at the monsters, killing hordes of them at a time, though not before yelling as he stomped down and smashing Stormbreaker down on the surface, creating a powerful quake and wiping away various monsters. He was quite the monster himself right now. He would soon walk up to a happy Valkyrie the two, exchanging compliments regarding the new looks. Val was confused at how this happened, but it was a long story, according to him. Brunnhilde missed him, as did he. It was quite the reunion as they looked into each other's eyes, and without warming, Thor had so suddenly gone in and kissed the woman. As a surprise, she returned the favor, the two exchanging a kiss in the heated battlefield like warriors would. It seemed random, but also pleasant at the same time. But it was time to get back to work. Immediately, Valkyrie reminded him of the intentions here, and Thor agreed. He took on Gorr while she helped the kids. Soon, Thor would take to the skies and fly, all as Valkyrie had called to Hercules and the two would get busy as to save the kids.
Gorr was busy himself, having slayed yet another God. However, Thor had landed down a few yards away as he let Stormbreaker stomp down and clear the monsters around him. The two stared at each other, both not pleased to see one another. This was the endgame, and Gorr said it himself. He was not going to lose and he'd make sure of it. But Thor wasn't having it. Gorr had killed endlessly and has done too many horrible things. No more. Thor was no longer going to be this righteous man that had undergone such tragedy in this case. Now, Thor was about to display just what kind of God he used to be in the battlefield. Now, Gorr was about to witness the God of Thunder firsthand. Immediately, there was enough talk. Thor and Gorr would begin to march towards one another, weapons in hand, and with sudden jolts, they clashed against each other hard and sent quite the shock wave around them, Stormbreaker and thr Necrosword meeting once again. The God Butcher and the Thunderer would meet yet again, but there was a difference this time. Thor was being more aggressive, more violent. The God of Thunder didn't just come back, he cane back with a rage and a storm that was unmatched. He was known as one of the most powerful Gods for a reason. With every hard swing that Thor did, Stormbreaker unleashed such waves of lightning, emphasizing the power this Asgardian held. Gorr was struggling now. Thor found openings as to give Gorr a few punches, his fist charged with lightning. He continuously struck Gorr over and over, all as Val and Hercules were able to free the children and take them over to the Gods once all the creatures were vanquished. After a very long and strenuous battle, Thor was finally able to best Gorr. With a final swing of Stormbreaker, and an opening, Thor had struck the Necrosword, destroying it and separating Gorr from his power. Now, a weakened Gorr would lay there, heaving as he felt himself losing his energy, dying. That was the fate of the wielder, anyway. Thor wanted to slay him, but he knew the pain here. They managed to have a small talk, and even have an understanding here. They both lost what they loved, but the difference was that Thor had found new meaning. He truly did now. Perhaps Gorr would find peace, even if he never reached Eternity.
With Gorr dead and the children safe again, things would need to take order. Thor had decided that the universe deserved better than what the Gods currently did, having even held counsel with Bast, the Plack Panther Goddess. And so, the Gods had chosen for Thor to become their king in Omnipotence City, having him assign Valkyrie as the new king of Asgard. They both had reflected feelings for one another as they knew this was the best way for things to go. He had new purpose now. Though, after merely a month of being king, he was alerted of a disturbance on a nearby planet. He traveled to the surf
