Hoshi and her older brother Oliver were conceived from two city folks. A woman named Anka Seong; Japanese woman who works as international flight attendant. Then there Hernando Rivera; a Puerto Rican man who is a stay-at-home dad watching the kids and stuff. Though he does work at convince store on weekends. As for Oliver he’s currently in college getting a degree in Art and Design, he does come over to visit family.
Now Hoshi has trouble socializing with other people ever since she was in preschool and her family knew this, also she can barely speak English (she can understand it but she can’t speak it). Mind you she only struggles to with communication; that’s when Anka and Hernando suggested that they should let Oliver help her with her english when he comes home from college; greetings, goodbyes, conversation starters and secretly swears sometimes. They thought this would help her talk to people continue to learn English at the same time.
Then comes high school; As of right now she attending St. Maryann Private School. She likes it there and everyone is really nice though still no progress on friends. She still talks to the students while still only communicating through writing. The students didn’t really have a problem with her being the way she is. Then she met Theodora, a social butterfly around the school. She wanted to help her with communication and wanting to really be friends with her, Hoshi thought she was really awesome and started being around in and out of school whenever she could.
