Benjamin was conditioned not to fear anything and if he did, he better do a good job of hiding it. He does have a fear of small spaces because of past events and also a fear of being left alone. He can be independent, but most of the time he has someone at his side. He feels like he’d be lost without someone else there and the thought of that scares him.

Benjamin doesn’t really have any dreams for the future. He is always focusing on the present and what’s happening at that moment. The only thing he really wants is freedom without the fear of being tracked down at any moment.

If Benjamin sticks up for someone, it’s usually a surprise because he doesn’t fight that often.

Benjamin is the son of Clyde and Emilia Doyle, Clyde being a well known scientist in Hydra and Emilia being his ‘assistant’ although she was just as much of a genius as he was. Growing up, Benjamin thought that Hydra was the only way of life; that they’re beliefs were correct. Being the son of two Hydra operatives, he even went to school at the Hydra Preparatory Academy, where he learned how Hydra worked. That’s where he got his dog, Gatsby, a German Shepard. He was quiet in school, never going out of his way to talking to people or showing off his intelligence. He read more outside of school than inside. He learned about technology before he even went to the academy, with the help of his genius parents who gave him whatever technology he wanted.

within the academy, he was a troublemaker. Not enough to get him kicked out or anything, just enough to mess with the teachers. It often included some prank, and he normally never got caught. These pranks were often technology based, after all.

This went on for too long and the year before he graduated, Benjamin was called out for his actions after setting a virus onto a laptop that bugged the entire system. It was supposed to be innocent, but it spread too quickly and caused more trouble than it should have. His parents were mad and more important people took matters into there own hands.

After an interview that lasted almost a week, Benjamin managed to escape. He packed up his dog, who he was supposed to original kill at the academy but obviously doesn’t, and fled. He still thought Hydra was good at the time, but he didn’t want to see anyone he loved get hurt because of him. He was also scared of dying himself. He wasn’t sure what they wanted to do with him and he wanted to be more than some hacker for them. Deep down, he had his doubts for Hydra, but after all this time of conditioning, it would be awhile before he’d actually believe Hydra is bad.

His one problem was not having any money. It was only him and Gatsby, who acted as his guard dog pretty much. Not that he needed it; he has been trained well throughout his years in the academy. He met a lot of people along the way, even running into Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff even if they didn’t even realize who he was. He didn’t exactly give off Hydra vibes. He managed to get his hands on a computer, meaning he stole one from the nearest tech store, and hid in an empty apartment room. He gained access to wifi and scoured the internet for any information he could find on anything. He looked up the academy; no results. He was shocked and confused. They made it sound like the academy was at least d somewhere. After stealing some more gear, he even managed to hack into Hydra. He had to gain a few things from Hydra operatives first, but he managed to dig deep into their files. This is when he realized that Hydra wasn’t all that good as he thought. Still, he uncovered some stuff he didn’t necessarily like. The Winter Soldier programs, for one.

During this time, he also discovered SHIELD. He knew about them before, of course, but looking at them from a non-hydra bias was different. And then he got caught. Thankfully, it was by Shield, not Hydra, but it was still made him anxious being the hands of someone who he was told were evil and the enemy. They more or less use him for his hacking abilities but he often disappears off their radar at times. He would never call himself an agent, but he does help. When he does go off their radar, he’s trying to fight against Hydra.
