There has been an influx of people promoting medications as a mean of weight loss. Right now, it's a diabetes medication at the forefront. It's gotten so bad that people who NEED this stuff, cannot even get it.

My dads on this and he gave some to my niece. They lost weight so fast, and yet there’s me, trying to fucking work out and better myself and they degrade me for not losing weight as fast. It’s hard enough for me to ask for ADHD meds because most cut off appetite, and I’m not asking for the meds for weight loss but that’s how I’m viewed when I ask for it. Cheaters that take meds away from those that NEED it. It’s disgusting af.
There are a few diabetes drugs that are used by doctors for obese patients trying to lose weight like wygovy and saxhenda (I'm not sure of the spelling). But they work probably because instances of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes is higher among that population. Ideally through losing weight, exercise, and learning how to eat, many would stop being prescribed it. It is sad that some medications ar so hard to find. I years ago how hard it was at my old job just trying to get one of the necessary components for that drug. I can't imagine trying to source through multiple supply chain issues now. I hope things get better soon for those who really need this.
As a diabetic person myself... This is just sad. Like how desperate do you have to be to fall for this?

oh god, next thing they’ll be advertising is “eat baby formula to lose weight”. Please stay away from medications that are crazy expensive that you don’t need, and products not meant for you.
